Pelican rescue!!

     I was happy to see all of the fisher-persons pitch in to catch this pelican to remove several lures and hooks from his bill. He was oddly calm....then went right back to chasing fish on hooks...:(

We have a family of Flickers nesting in one of our dead trees. I love to listen to them calling from inside of the tree!

Roadside "must sees"

If you ever find yourself in Crescent, Oregon....(near Bend)... This place is a must see. The food was comfort food....even served green jello as a side! What's not to like about a taxidermy and bottle collection?!

There are over 1000 drawings at the V Bar V Site. These were made by the Southern Sinagua people 1150-1400.

V Bar V Ranch Petroglyphs

This rock art heritage site is located in Montezuma Lake AZ. The collection of them in one place is amazing. Well worth the short hike into the site. This place is a must see if you find yourself in the area!
