 Cripple Creek Colorado-Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine tour has some great advice .......   We visited several years ago. I was a little bit freaked out in the cage going down (1000 ft) , but it was very interesting.....I do love me some gold!!!

Poison Spider Trail

In Moab, Utah  near the Poison Spider Trail...there is a small pull off with dinosaur tracks and petroglyphs.....

The only kicker is...you have to climb fairly rough terrain to reach them. I am so proud of Kevin ( afraid of heights) We both conquered the climb and were rewarded!!

There were many petroglyphs  and little critters to see. And a great view of a river.

A job well done!!

The tracks were a little harder to see as they are hanging over an outcropping....Kevin enjoyed looking at the pictures instead of hanging over the edge! ( I did that!)

A good day

 I started out watching an eagle sitting on the nest.....She got agitated when her mate returned....

 They were both being vocal and agitated as another eagle challenged the nest....I believe that the challenger actually nested there last year- they are fighting over real estate!!!

Pelican rescue!!

     I was happy to see all of the fisher-persons pitch in to catch this pelican to remove several lures and hooks from his bill. He was oddly calm....then went right back to chasing fish on hooks...:(
